In the secluded Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, lies Makumu Private Game Lodge, a retreat that promises space, privacy, and an authentic bushveld experience.
Tourism Update Pic of The Week
This week’s image comes to us from Makumu Private Game Lodge General Manager, Morné Hamlyn, who spotted some lions lazing around a small waterhole at the reserve.
“With no guests around for this lockdown period, as essential staff remaining on site we have amazing opportunities to still go out into the bush in search of some great sightings,” said Hamlyn.
He said the sighting of a group of lions was very rewarding, but the experience became more entertaining when some of the cubs spotted a terrapin in the mud. “They surely had some fun, but could not quite figure out how something so easy to catch is so difficult to eat!”
