Tourism Update: A very unusual sighting

Posted on Thu February 11, 2021 in Press and Awards.

This week’s top picture features an albino waterbuck spotted at Makumu Private Game Lodge in Mpumalanga.

Photographed by Ruan Ferreira, the light colouring of the animal made it easy to see among the bushes.

“We do hope he manages to survive predators and the sun. This really is a sight you don’t see every day,” said Makumu’s Marketing Co-odinator, Daina Johnstone.
